Thanks for checking out my About page. I'm sure you are here to learn a little more about me and what I do ...
How much time do you have?
[Starting out ... ] I've been in business as long as I can remember. I started my first company when I was just shy of 10. It was a local neighborhood rag that shared all the happenings in our community. Think People Magazine for the 100 homes that made up my self-imposed territory, bounded by the area I was allowed to travel by bicycle. After a few months, going beyond gossip, I included local advertising, driving traffic to an adjacent strip mall. The mini-mart's Slurpy machine sales went through the roof. My first taste of the rewards of running my first business ...
[Working for the BIG guys ... ] After college, I went to work for other people ... Enormous companies, with hundreds of thousands of employees (Grainger, GE, and HSBC). Loads of opportunity, experience, and travel.
[Then this happened ... ] In my twenties, when others were taking their newly gained independence and pocket money to go out and about, I started my journey of self-development. Don't get me wrong, I did the out and about ... and I started to devour every thing I could get my hands on to build both my hard and soft skills. During this time I earned two masters and an MBA, and studied techniques of Time Management, Emotional Intelligence, Psychology, Sales, and Focus ... just to name a few. Long before 10,000 hours was a benchmark of mastery, I was logging endless hours of research and application. I'm well over 100,000 hours and still counting . . .
[Time for a change ... ] Two decades into adult working life, I had a resume full of impressive accomplishments ... and the urge to go back to my entrepreneurial roots. That's when I started coaching and consulting and I haven't looked back. If you are keeping score, that's more than 37,000 hours!
[Why ... ] Remember above when I shared what I was doing in my twenties? Well, I've never stopped. I've curated massive amounts of knowledge and paired it with real-world experience to create opportunities both zigging and zagging. I love when I create a new or different way to tackle and beat a problem or situation ... and love it more when I help others go further than they ever dreamed possible. Your world is an infinite supply of opportunity, and with the right combination of mindset, tools, and action, it can be seized.
